Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering angle detecting apparatus capable of pertinently calculating steering angle even in a case of occurrence of power supply failure.SOLUTION: A steering angle detecting apparatus 11 comprises a plurality of rotation angle sensors 120, 220 and controlling parts 150, 250. The rotation angle sensors 120, 220 may continue calculation of at least rotation numbers TC1, TC2 even under a period of IG off. Steering angle calculation parts 155, 255 calculate steering angle θs1, θs2 based on rotation numbers TC1, TC2 and rotation angles θm1, θm2 obtained from rotation angle sensors 120, 220 provided respectively. Batteries 170, 270 are respectively provided for each system. In a case where one system has power supply failure, the controlling part in the system having failure obtains neutral position information and rotation number from a controlling part in normal system. Thereby, the steering angle may be pertinently calculated even in a case of occurrence of power supply failure in one system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
