Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a profiled belt that allows for free design of a profile shape, is not restricted by the shape of a transport object or the like, and can provide a multi-functionality to a timing belt.SOLUTION: A profiled belt comprises a belt body 1 having a plurality of teeth 5 in a traveling surface 1a. A core-wire layer is formed with a plurality of core wires 2 embedded parallel widthwise along a longer direction within the belt body 1 at above the teeth 5. In a back face of the belt body 1, a profile 3 is provided at a prescribed interval along the longer direction, to lower the core-wire density within the core-wire layer lying in an underside of or in the vicinity of the underside of the profile 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
