Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thickener capable of exhibiting excellent light resistance.SOLUTION: A thickener contains a fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of 8 nm or less and water, where the thickener is a slurry-like or gel-like form, a colorless transparent glass cell having an inside dimension of length of 1 cm×width of 4 cm×height of 4.5 cm is filled with the thickener, and when ultraviolet rays at a wavelength of 300 nm or more and 400 nm or less are applied from the maximum area surface side of a glass cell using a xenon lamp so that irradiance is 180 W/mand integrated light quantity is 500 mJ/m, an amount of change of yellowness before and after irradiation with ultraviolet rays measured according to JIS K 7373 is 10 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
