Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide industrial 2-in-1 cleaning compositions providing both cleaning and rinsing functions in a single cleaning composition, so that the compositions and methods provide user-friendly, solid detergent compositions without the need for using a separate rinse aid composition.SOLUTION: An alkaline detergent and rinsing composition comprises: an alkalinity source comprising an alkali metal carbonate and substantially free of alkali metal hydroxide; and at least two nonionic surfactants, where the nonionic surfactants comprises an EO/PO copolymer and a C10-C12 alcohol ethoxylate with 15-25 mol of ethylene oxide; 0.1 wt.% to 50 wt.% alkali metal hydroxide; and a builder; where the composition performs both cleaning and rinsing functions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
