Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooling type exhaust turbocharger that enables appropriate cooling of an entire turbine housing and thus can drastically suppress thermal strain.SOLUTION: A turbine housing 4 includes: a turbine chamber 7; a scroll chamber 8 positioned on the outer side of the turbine chamber; an inlet passage extending in the tangential direction of the scroll chamber 8; an outlet passage 13 leading toward the rotation axial direction of a turbine 1; and a waste gate passage 14 branched from an inside area. Cooling water jackets 33, 34 extend on both sides sandwiching the scroll chamber 8. The cooling water jackets 33, 34 are extended on the side opposite to a center housing 6 to surround the outlet passage 13 and the waste gate passage 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
