Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external gear pump which enables downsizing.SOLUTION: In an external gear pump 1 having a driving gear 2 and a driven gear 3 and a pump housing 4, shaft holes 20, 30 are respectively formed at center parts of the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3. The pump housing 4 has: a cylinder part 41 having an inner surface 41a facing top lands 22a, 32a of the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3; first and second side plate parts 42, 45 forming a pump chamber 400 at both axial sides of the cylinder part 41; and first and second support parts 43, 44 which protrude from the first side plate part 42 toward the second side plate part 45, are fitted in the shaft holes 20, 30 of the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3, and support the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3. The driving gear 2 has: a gear part 23 formed with multiple gear teeth 22; and a shaft part 24 which is provided continuing into one axial end part of the gear part 23, and transmits a driving force of a motor part 12 to the gear part 23.
