Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensitive sensor with which it is possible to measure pressure acting upon a curved surface.SOLUTION: The pressure sensitive sensor comprises: a substrate whose outer surface is constituted in whole or part by a curve; a plurality of electrodes disposed on the outer surface of the substrate by being spaced apart from each other, at least one of which is used as a signal electrode and at least one of which is used as a ground electrode; and at least one variable resistor unit constituted by a conductive foam elastomer, arranged at least in part along a curved surface, and being in contact with the at least one signal electrode and the at least one ground electrode, with electric resistance between the signal electrode and the ground electrode decreasing proportionately as the amount of compression increases when pressure is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
