Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make visibility of a display image in an electronic viewfinder excellent.SOLUTION: An imaging device has: an electronic viewfinder; an external light detection unit that detects a state of environment light; an eye contact detection unit that detects an eye-contact with the electronic viewfinder by a user; a display part that is arranged out of the electronic viewfinder, and can display a plurality of display modes; and a timer for counting a time until the eye contact detection unit detects the eye-contact since the user operates a screen operation of the display part by an operation member and finishes the operation. In a case where the display mode of the display part is a lights-out, or display other than a through-image display, and it is determined by the external light detection unit that the environment light is darker than prescribed brightness, when a count value of the timer is greater than 0 and smaller than a prescribed value, an initial value of display luminance of the electronic viewfinder is controlled so as to be the almost same as the display luminance displayed in the display part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
