Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source assembly having at least one light-emitting element and a light guide plate, and a backlight module including the surface light source assembly.SOLUTION: Each light-emitting element has an annular light-emitting side surface. A light guide plate has a bottom surface and a light emission surface opposite to each other. The bottom surface has at least one storage tank for storing at least one light-emitting element. Each storage tank has a light incident surface. The light incident surface surrounds the annular light-emitting side surface of the light-emitting element positioned in the storage tank. The light emission surface of the light guide plate is a convex surface. In this invention, a surface light source assembly and a backlight module can enhance homogeneity of luminance and also suppress light from leaking from an edge of a light guide plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
