Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling means of a capacitor.SOLUTION: An AC capacitor 200 includes a first electrode 204 with an electrically conductive rod 208 protruding from a surface of the first electrode, a second electrode 216 including an opening 220, and a bobbin or a winding 224 that is located between the first electrode and the second electrode and includes a hollow central section 228. An axis of the electrically conductive rod protruding from a surface of the first electrode is coaxial with an axis of the hollow bobbin. The electrically conductive rod passes through the hollow central section of the bobbin and through the opening in the second electrode allowing current flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
