Abstract:
To provide a structure for controlling the directionality of heat flow in thermal conduction in a solid.SOLUTION: In order to form a heat flow path with a predetermined interval in the solid whose minimum distance is shorter than the mean free path of phonons, formed are a plurality of members made of a material having a low thermal conductivity as compared with a plurality of spaces or solids. Since a heat flow channel has a minimum interval that is a predetermined range shorter than the mean free path of phonons, the phonons collide with a structure before their collisions at the minimum interval. For this reason, the phonons travel in a direction along the heat flow channel. As a result, the directionality of the heat flow in the heat conduction in the solid can be controlled by the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
