Abstract:
To create a new type of exhaust gas after-treatment system of an internal combustion engine, and an internal combustion engine having such an exhaust gas after-treatment system.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas after-treatment system of an internal combustion engine comprises: an SCR catalytic converter accommodated in a reactor chamber; an exhaust gas supply conduit leading to the reactor chamber and thus to the SCR catalytic converter; an exhaust gas discharge conduit leading away from the reactor chamber and thus from the SCR catalytic converter; an introduction device disposed in the exhaust gas supply conduit for introducing a reducing agent into exhaust gas; and a mixing path provided downstream of the introduction device by the exhaust gas supply conduit for mixing the exhaust gas with the reducing agent upstream of the reactor chamber or SCR catalyst. The exhaust gas after-treatment system has a plurality of blowing devices which serve to purify an SCR catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
