Abstract:
To provide a steering stability evaluation method of a vehicle for evaluating steering stability by allowing the vehicle to travel in such a manner that acceleration is imparted to a width direction of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A steering stability evaluation method of a vehicle according to the present invention includes: a travelling process S1 of allowing a vehicle 1 mounted with an accelerometer 3 and a steering angle measuring meter 5 to travel; and an evaluation process S3 of evaluating steering stability of the vehicle 1 based on acceleration and steering angle obtained in the travelling process S1. The travelling process S1 includes: an acceleration imparting travelling process S5 of imparting acceleration in a width direction by performing a regulated steering by allowing the vehicle 1 to travel at a predetermined velocity; and a correction steering travelling process S7 of adding correction steering so that the vehicle 1 linearly travels after the acceleration imparting travelling process S5. The evaluation process S3 draws a hysteresis curve of the acceleration and the steering angle with the acceleration and the steering angle as coordinate axes, and the absolute value is integrated from a start to an end of the correction steering, and the steering stability is evaluated by the integrated value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
