Abstract:
To provide a metal fuel cell capable of preventing self discharge of a negative electrode material and capable of stably flowing a current over a long period of time, and also capable of obtaining a larger current.SOLUTION: A metal fuel cell of the present invention includes a positive electrode causing a reaction between oxygen and an electrolyte to generate hydroxide ions, a negative electrode causing a reaction between metal and an electrolyte to generate metal ions, and a separator electrically insulating between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The metal fuel cell is characterized in that the negative electrode comprises a negative electrode material in which at least a part of the metal is covered with a protective film including a non-woven fabric containing carbon nanotubes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
