Abstract:
To provide a method for producing cationized pulp that makes it possible to produce a fine cellulose fiber in a high yield and at a low cost.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing cationized pulp by adding a cationized agent and an alkali compound to pulp for a reaction. The cationized agent has a quaternary ammonium group, and a group selected from the group consisting of an epoxy group, a functional group having a structure of halohydrin, a vinyl group, and a halogen group. At a start of the reaction, an amount of substance of a solvent is 5-150 mmol per pulp bone dry mass 1 g, and the solvent is water.SELECTED DRAWING: None
