Abstract:
To provide an electric drum brake which enables a cylindrical seal member for making an electric drive device water-proof and dust-proof to be provided at low costs.SOLUTION: A second insertion hole 28a through which a parking brake cable 74 passes is formed connecting to a first insertion hole 16a at an anchor. A fitting part 122a of a boot 122 is sandwiched between an electric drive device 60 and a backing plate 16. Further, a flexible part 122b of the boot 122 is inserted into the first insertion hole 16a and the second insertion hole 28a. The structure allows a vehicle drum brake 10 to include the boot 122 without complicatedly changing shapes or structures of the electric drive device 60 and the backing plate 16 and adding new components. Thus, the structure for including the boot 122 is simplified to achieve cost reduction of the vehicle drum brake 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
