Abstract:
To provide a packaging device which has a simple structure, specifies tray information on a tray placed on a placed portion highly accurately, and performs beautiful packaging based on the tray information.SOLUTION: A packaging device which packages a commodity placed on a tray based on tray information has: a memory part which memorizes a plurality of pieces of tray information in which identification information on the tray and a tray size are related; a tray size detection part which detects the tray size of the tray placed on a placed portion; and switching means which switches between first means for selecting tray information corresponding to the tray size among the plurality of pieces of tray information in a first selective range memorized in the memory part based on the tray size detected by the tray size detection part, and second means for selecting tray information corresponding to the tray size among the plurality of pieces of tray information in a second selective range having the number of selection candidates lesser than the first selective range based on the detected tray size.
