Abstract:
To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of maintaining exhaust gas performance and improving fuel economy.SOLUTION: During execution of recirculation gas introduction control, when an execution condition of changeover control is satisfied (Yes in Step S2), an ECU controls an EGR changeover valve to introduce high-temperature recirculation gas to an intake passage and executes the changeover control while the execution of the recirculation gas introduction control is continued (Step S6). During execution of the recirculation gas introduction control to introduce low-temperature recirculation gas to the intake passage, when the execution condition of the changeover control is satisfied (Yes in Step S3), the ECU controls the EGR changeover valve to introduce the high-temperature recirculation gas to the intake passage and executes the changeover control while the execution of the recirculation gas introduction control is continued (Step S6).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
