Abstract:
To provide a power converter capable of reducing a loss, and an image formation device.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a power converter comprises: a converter switching electric power supplied to a transformer; a control circuit controlling switching of the converter; and a startup circuit starting up the control circuit. The startup circuit comprises: a constant current circuit comprising a first switching element and supplying the electric power of a constant voltage to the control circuit when the first switching element is turned on; and an isolator having a first current path connected to a control terminal of the first switching element and a second current path insulated from the first current path and turning on the first switching element via the first current path when a current flows through the second current path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
