Abstract:
To provide an operation method for a floor treatment device (1) autonomously traveling within an environment.SOLUTION: A detector (2) of a floor treatment device (1) detects the characteristics of a cleaning object surface, and compares them with reference characteristics of a carpet (3). So as to suitably constitute the floor treatment device (1) like this, it is determined whether or not the carpet (3) has a fringe (4) and where the fringe (4) is provided, when the carpet (3) is detected. The fringe (4) is properly arranged in a predetermined direction with respect to the carpet (3) by using a combing device (5) of the floor treatment device (1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
