Abstract:
To provide a processor device which, when an endoscope not fit to a light source device or to the processor device is connected, can correct white balance without imposing a burden on a user, and also to provide a method of operating the same.SOLUTION: A correction coefficient acquisition unit 56 acquires a correction coefficient from an endoscope 13a or an endoscope 13b. A white balance control unit 63 selects and executes one of a first white balance process which refers to and uses an acquired correction coefficient to correct the white balance, and a second white balance process which uses a first multiplied correction coefficient obtained by multiplying a first conversion coefficient and the acquired correction coefficient to correct the white balance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
