Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device allowing a driver to perceive an operational feeling which is sufficient in terms of a feeling in the gentle acceleration/deceleration operation of an accelerator pedal, regardless of muscle to be mainly used in the operation.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a reference control map which has a forward characteristic and a backward characteristic, and in which a correlation between an amount of depression of an accelerator pedal and a reaction force value thereof is set; a reaction force setting section 24 which sets the reaction force value of an accelerator pedal 3 on the basis of the reference control map; and a depression speed sensor 5 which detects an amount of movement of a driver's foot on the accelerator pedal. When the amount of movement of the driver's foot detected by the depression speed sensor 5 is large, the reaction force setting section 24 causes a correction to increase a hysteresis between the forward characteristic and the backward characteristic of the reference control map as compared with when the amount of movement is small.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
