Abstract:
To provide a controller for determining whether a lock pin is in close contact with a rim of a pin hole with which the lock pin engages swiftly and correctly in a boom expansion device for expanding and contracting a multistage boom of a crane.SOLUTION: A boom expansion device for expanding and contracting a multistage boom comprises a processor. The processor determines that the lock pin is post-close contact with a rim of the pin hole based on that an expansion pressure of an expansion cylinder is equal to or less than a first threshold in an expansion of a boom member in a state where a lock pin engages with a pin hole, and/or determines that the lock pin is pre-close contact with the rim of the pin hole based on that the expansion pressure is equal to or more than a second threshold in an expansion of the boom member in a state where the lock pin engages with the pin hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
