Abstract:
To allow X-ray imaging for partial X-ray scanning of a subject in a specific direction (e.g., height direction) without moving a bed with the subject thereon, yet with the influence of scattered radiation suppressed.SOLUTION: An X-ray imaging apparatus used in an X-ray CT apparatus has a rotary collimator 20 arranged in front of a radiation port of an X-ray source 10, and narrows down and moves fan-shaped X-ray beams (X-ray fan beams) 500 in such a manner that a part (e.g., the head 301) of a subject 30 is scanned with the X-ray beams in the height direction (the head 301 remaining still). Then, a detection line of a detector 40 at which X-rays transmitted through the head 301 of the subject 30 arrives is identified by detecting the rotational phase angle of the collimator 20. Then, integrated image processing is performed using, for example, only the signals of the detection line of the detector 40 at which the transmitted X-rays should have arrived (i.e., truncating signals other than those of the identified detection line).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
