Abstract:
To provide a new technique which detects and locates an abnormality of an alternating current track circuit.SOLUTION: A track circuit monitoring apparatus 100 includes: measuring terminals 200, each installed at a section boundary of a track circuit; and a processing device 300. The processing device 300 locates, for each track circuit, an abnormality, depending on whether or not a transmission current phase difference, namely a phase difference of a transmission current to a transmission voltage of a transmission transformer 7, is within a determination range, which is a threshold condition defined for each of three abnormality locations: abnormality associated with a transmitter, abnormality associated with a rail, and abnormality associated with a receiver. Similarly, an abnormality of measurement items other than the transmission current, transmission voltage, and reception voltage is located, depending on whether a measured value is within a determination range defined for each of the abnormality locations. The results of abnormality localization based on the transmission current phase difference and on measurement of the other items can be combined to increase the accuracy of abnormality localization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
