Abstract:
To prevent a gasket from falling by decreasing a difference in compressibility of the gasket caused along a longer direction of a groove in which the gasket is fitted even when the groove is not uniform in width along the longer direction.SOLUTION: A gasket body 104 which is fitted in a groove 14 formed in at least one member (housing 11) between two mutually opposite members (housing 11, component 21) and elastically deforms to adhere to the other member (component 21) has a metallic cored bar 111 inserted. The cored bar 111 is inserted along a longer direction of the gasket body 104 while having a width direction directed to a direction of insertion into the groove 14, and a rib 112 is protruded in a direction orthogonal to the direction of insertion into the groove 14. The rib 112 has its projection dimension varied along the longer direction of the cored bar 111.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
