Abstract:
To obtain a slab of high quality with the intrusion of inclusions suppressed by more promoting the floatation separation of inclusions.SOLUTION: Provided is a tundish for continuous casting temporarily storing a molten metal before injection into a mold in continuous casting, where, at the inside, a weir provided with a slit through which the molten metal passes is installed in the process of a flow passage of the molten metal from the inlet part of the molten metal to the outlet part of the molten metal, and the slit is tilted to the lower part from the upstream side of the flow passage toward the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
