Abstract:
To provide a pigment water dispersion excellent in fixability to a resin printing medium and image density when mixed in ink and printed on the medium, and to provide aqueous ink containing the pigment water dispersion.SOLUTION: There are provided [1] a pigment water dispersion that is formed by dispersing a pigment (A) with a water-insoluble polymer (B), where the polymer (B) contains a constitutional unit derived from an itaconic acid (b-1) and a constitutional unit derived from a hydrophobic monomer (b-2), where at least a part of acid groups is neutralized; and [2] aqueous ink that contains 2 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less of the pigment water dispersion according to [1] in terms of a pigment.SELECTED DRAWING: None
