To obtain, for example, an actuator for an electric brake which enables reduction of temperature rise of a motor, and to obtain a brake device.SOLUTION: An actuator for an electric brake includes, for example, a motor, a rotating linear motion conversion mechanism having a rotary member driven by the motor and a linear member which linearly moves in response to rotation of the rotary member, a housing having a wall part covering the motor, and at least one heat radiation structure which penetrates through the wall part, contacts with the motor at the inner side of the housing, and is exposed to the outside of the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
