Abstract:
To suppress blurring of an illumination object area while taking safety of a coherent light into consideration.SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 includes a light source 2 for emitting a coherent light, a shaping optical system 3 for collimating the coherent light emitted from the light source, a light direction adjusting member 4 having a plurality of unit light direction adjusting parts for individually adjusting travelling directions of the coherent light collimated by the shaping optical system, and a diffractive optical element 5 for diffracting a plurality of the coherent lights in a direction according to the incident position and incident angle of the plurality of coherent lights from the light direction adjusting member, and illuminating an illumination object area. The plurality of unit light direction adjusting parts individually adjust the incident angle of the coherent light to the diffractive optical element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
