To provide a cutting machine which can be quickly stopped on a slight stage even when a work-piece is bitten into a gap between a bottom surface of a work-piece pushing tool for pushing the work-piece and a table.SOLUTION: A cutting machine includes: a lower blade which is fixed to a table and forms a cutting scheduled line; an upper blade which is pushed down and permits a vertical movement configured so as to cut a work-piece on the cutting scheduled line; a work-piece feeding means 50 which pushes the work-piece from a right angle with respect to the cutting scheduled line by means of a work-piece pushing tool 51 and moves the work-piece; a back-gauge which sets a cutting interval W which is parallel to the cutting scheduled line and is arbitrary; a sensor 52 capable of measuring a distance XA by which the work-piece pushing tool 51 is moved in accordance with a feeding movement of the work-piece feeding means 50; a comparator 83 which outputs a signal U of a result acquired by comparing the measured distance XA with a threshold Q; and an operation stop means 81 for stopping at least a feeding operation of the work-piece feeding means 50 when the moved distance XA is larger than the threshold Q based on the outputted signal U thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
