Abstract:
To provide an air bag device in which an air bag after completely inflated can maintain a predetermined inner pressure, even the air bag device is configured in such a manner that a part near the outer circumferential wall of the air bag is mounted on a vehicle body side.SOLUTION: An air bag device M is provided which is configured in such a manner that a predetermined part of an air bag 45 is mounted on a vehicle body side using mounting means 100. An air bag comprises: a bag body 46; and a mount piece 72 joined to an outer circumferential wall 46a of the bag body and mounted on the body side using the mounting means. The mounting means comprises: a mounting leg part 102 mounted on the body side; and a mounting head part 101 formed by bulging from the mounting leg part. The mounting piece has a through-hole through which the mounting leg part whose mounting head part is disposed in a space between the outer circumferential wall and the mount piece 72 is passed and which can lock the mounting head part by means of a peripheral edge of the through-hole. Two parts opposite to each other with the mounting means 100 interposed therebetween, of the mount piece are jointed to the outer circumferential wall while the mounting leg part is kept passed through the through-hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
