Abstract:
To provide a novel method that produces an aromatic compound, stably in high yield, in the presence of a catalyst containing zeolite, using hydrocarbons as the raw material.SOLUTION: A method for producing an aromatic compound includes a reaction to occur under a contact reaction condition of 450°C or more and less than 650°C and higher than 0 MPa G and less than 0.8 MPa G, using an aliphatic hydrocarbon and/or an alicyclic hydrocarbon as the raw material, in the presence of a catalyst containing zeolite having a 10 membered ring skeleton structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
