Abstract:
To provide a protection element capable of reducing internal resistance while having reflow resistance and free from fusion failure due to eluted residue of solute metal in a surface mounting type circuit protection element.SOLUTION: A protection element includes an insulating substrate 11, a plurality of electrodes 12 provided on the insulating substrate, an electrode filling material 13 of a low melting point metal filled between predetermined electrodes from among the electrodes, and a fuse element 14 bridging between the predetermined electrodes and covering the upper part of the electrode filling material, and the electrode filling material is made of a metal material whose melting temperature is equal to or lower than the liquidus temperature of the fuse element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
