Abstract:
To provide an exhaust structure which can reduce a size of an exhaust pipe, and can make an exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe smoothly flow toward a downstream side while improving a degree of freedom of the installation of an on-vehicle component which is installed around the exhaust pipe.SOLUTION: An exhaust structure of an internal combustion engine comprises: a cylinder head 3 in which an exhaust passage for discharging exhaust gases from a plurality of cylinders is formed; an exhaust pipe 8 and a catalyst converter 9 which are installed at side faces 2a, 3a of a cylinder block 2 and the cylinder head 3 along an alignment direction of the cylinders; and an exhaust flange part 16 which protrudes to the outside from the side face of the cylinder head, and is connected with the exhaust pipe and the catalyst converter. The exhaust pipe has a first exhaust pipe passage 22 which is partitioned by a partitioning wall 21, and in which the exhaust gas discharged from a first discharge port 14A of the exhaust passage flows, and a second exhaust pipe passage 23 in which the exhaust gas discharged from a second exhaust port 14B flows. A plate thickness of the partitioning wall gradually becomes thin as progressing toward a downstream side in a direction in which the exhaust gas flows.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
