Abstract:
To provide a conveying device for a round steel ingot capable of conveying safely and easily a round steel ingot conveyed by means of an overhead crane along a horizontal direction to a region deviated from a movable region of the overhead crane and capable of being arranged at a relatively low cost.SOLUTION: A conveying device 1 for a round steel ingot includes: a pair of chains c1 fixed at a one end 11 side to a region IN at a carry-in side on a floor F, fixed at an other end 12 side on the floor F to a region OUT at a carry-out side apart from the region IN at the carry-in side, being longer in a whole length in a plan view than a linear distance between a position 11 of the region IN at the carry-in side and a position 12 of the region OUT at the carry-out side, and stretched in parallel to each other in a plan view; a pair of air cylinders 5 erected vertically on the floor F; and a pair of pulleys 8 mounted at an upper end of every piston rod 6 capable of going up and down from every cylinder 5 along a vertical direction, winding an intermediate part of every chain c1 and causing the intermediate part of the chain c1 to go up and down individually.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
