Abstract:
To effectively stop a wheel lock by appropriately controlling activation of an electric parking brake device in accordance with a vehicular weight and a road condition, while the vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A control apparatus includes a control part 160 for activating an electric parking brake device 40 by controlling driving of a motor 41. In the case of activating the electric parking brake device 40 while a vehicle travels, the control part 160 performs: first brake control to cause the motor 41 to pull a cable 42 with first cable pulling force to cause a vehicle 1 to decelerate at predetermined target deceleration in a case where vehicular weight is equal to or higher than a given weight threshold or a road frictional coefficient is equal to or higher than a given friction coefficient threshold; and second brake control to cause the motor 41 to pull the cable 42 stepwise with second cable pulling force to cause the vehicle 1 to decelerate stepwise at the predetermined target deceleration in a case where the vehicular weight is less than a given weight threshold or the road frictional coefficient is less than the given frictional coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
