Abstract:
To provide a brake control device capable of obtaining appropriate braking force without excess or deficiency even when an abnormality occurs in a sensor during operation of an electric parking brake.SOLUTION: A brake control device controls an electric parking brake including for example: a piston capable of pressing a brake pad in accordance with hydraulic pressure in a cylinder; a linear movement member reciprocating in the cylinder to control pressing force on the brake pad by using the piston; and an actuator operated based on target pressing force that is a target value of the pressing force corresponding to an output value from a sensor for detecting information correlated with the hydraulic pressure to move the linear movement member. The brake control device includes: an abnormality detection section for detecting an abnormality of the sensor; and an actuator control section for, when the abnormality is detected, controlling operation amount of the actuator on the basis of an output value prior to the detection of the abnormality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
