Abstract:
To inhibit growth of microorganisms such as fungi when an air conditioning operation is not performed.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger, a fan and an ion generator for generating ions are internally mounted to a cabinet having a suction port and a blowout port. An air introduction panel for changing a blowout direction of blowing air is provided at the blowout port in an openable/closable manner. An air conditioner includes a control device for performing sterilization operation in the cabinet by causing the ion generator to generate ions in the cabinet, The air conditioner also includes a monitoring section for monitoring a temperature and humidity when air conditioning operation is not performed. The control device determines a growth environment in the cabinet that easily causes growth of microorganisms on the basis of results obtained by the monitoring section, performs drying operation for drying inside of the cabinet, and performs sterilization operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
