Abstract:
To provide an electric motor in which an air gap between a stator core and a rotor can be easily adjusted without involving upsizing.SOLUTION: The electric motor includes an annular stator core 11 formed by layering a plurality of electromagnetic steel sheets 13, a rotor 2 that is disposed on the inner circumferential side of the stator core 11 and has permanent magnets 22 facing the stator core 11, and a shaft 3 rotatably supporting the rotor 2. A metallic irregular shape plate 16 having an annular layered portion 17 layered on the electromagnetic steel sheets 13, and a plurality of extension portions 18 extended radially inward from the layered portion 17, is disposed at an end, in the layering direction, of the stator core 11. The extension portions 18 are formed so as to hold the shaft 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
