Abstract:
To provide an air spring easy to assemble, and excellent in durability.SOLUTION: An air spring which includes: an upper plate 2 mounted on a vehicle body; a cylindrical piston 3 mounted on a vehicle shaft; a cylindrical flexible member 4 placed between the upper plate 2 and the piston 3; an elastic stopper 5; and a support member 6 for supporting the elastic stopper 5 is such that: the support member 6 is formed so that the lower end is fixed in the bottom of the piston 3, and the upper end projects from an upper opening 11 of the piston 3; the upper end of the support member 6 is formed in a diameter smaller than a diameter of the upper opening 11; the elastic stopper 5 is placed on a reinforcement plate 19 with rigidity; and both elastic stopper 5 and reinforcement plate 19 are mounted on the support member 6 in a decentered position from a shaft center P of the flexible member 4 so as to be partially superposed on an upper opening edge of the piston 3 in plan view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
