Abstract:
To provide an aqueous coating composition capable of forming a coating film having excellent coating film performance even if cured at a low temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous coating composition which comprises an aqueous resin having a hydroxy group and a carboxyl group (A1), a polyisocyanate compound (B), a hydrophilization-modified carbodiimide compound (C) and an aqueous novolac-type epoxy resin (D), wherein the aqueous resin (A1) having a hydroxy group and a carboxyl group has a hydroxyl value of 80 to 200 mgKOH/mg and an acid value of 10 to 40 mgKOH/mg in terms of resin solid content and the content of the aqueous novolac-type epoxy resin (D) contained in the aqueous coating composition is 5 to 15 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the total resin solid content of the aqueous resin (A1), the polyisocyanate compound (B) and the hydrophilization-modified carbodiimide compound(C).SELECTED DRAWING: None
