Abstract:
To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of reducing its power transmission loss.SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission, which has a variator having an input disk, an output disk, and a plurality of power rollers held between these disks, and a power roller drive mechanism, includes an input detector for detecting the rotation speed at the input disk side, an output detector for detecting the rotation speed at the output disk side, and a power roller detector for detecting the rotation speed of the power rollers. The continuously variable transmission further includes a controller for controlling the power roller drive mechanism to make the rotation speeds of all power rollers coincident with one another on the basis of detection values of these detectors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
