Abstract:
To provide an attachment structure of a boot for a universal joint which makes an attachment part 3 of the boot less likely to be displaced in axial direction relative to a mating attachment member 21 and inhibits a film part 2 from being deformed resulting from the displacement.SOLUTION: An attachment structure of a boot for a universal joint has an attachment part 3, which is attached to a mating attachment member 21, at an end part of a bellows shaped film part 2, has multiple seal lips 6, 7 on an inner peripheral surface of the attachment part 3, and has a fitting groove 22, in which the multiple seal lips 6, 7 are fitted, on an outer peripheral surface of the mating attachment member 21. An annular protruding part 23 which engages with an annular recessed part 8 between the multiple seal lips 6, 7 is provided at a bottom surface part of the fitting groove 22. A boot exterior side end surface 23b of the annular protruding part 23 and a boot interior side end surface of the fitting groove 22 are individually formed as planar engagement surfaces arranged perpendicular to an axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
