Abstract:
To generate image data capable of outputting a dot pattern with higher dispersiveness for each of a plurality of printing scans.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for forming an image by superposing n (≥2) recordings on the same area of a recording medium includes holding means for holding a threshold matrix characteristic indicating dispersiveness of dot patterns of respective gradations obtained when dithering is performed using a threshold matrix, setting means for setting recording data for each of n recording scans by dividing image data into the n recording scans based on the threshold matrix characteristic, and halftone processing means for performing dither processing using the threshold matrix on the recording data of each of the n recordings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
