Abstract:
To jet washing water from a lower part washing device securely to a lower surface of a vehicle body without waste and minimize scattering to a periphery, and reduce labor and cost caused by separately installing a vehicle body detector as a trigger of jetting.SOLUTION: A vehicle washer includes a portal car washing machine 1 which washes vehicle body surfaces except for a lower surface of an automobile stopped in a predetermined stop position, and a lower part washing device 4 which mainly washes the lower surface of the automobile. The portal car washing machine 1 includes: a car washing processing device arranged so as to move in a vehicle length direction of the automobile, and washes the vehicle body surfaces of the automobile in conjunction with movement; and a vehicle shape unit 20 which detects a length of the automobile. The lower part washing device 4 includes water jetting pipes 24 which are arranged on a floor surface of the stop position and are divided into a plurality of parts in the vehicle length direction, and includes control means which limitedly operates the water jetting pipes 24 of the lower part washing device 4 in response to a length of the automobile detected by the vehicle shape unit 20 of the portal car washing machine 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
