Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus capable of handling a sheet with heated air so that water content of the sheet is not excessively reduced.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: sheet-handling fans 611a and 611b for blowing air onto sheets 2 stacked on a lift plate 507; an air heater 613 for heating air jetted from the sheet-handling fans 611a and 611b; a moisture amount calculation unit (CPU 301) for calculating the amount of moisture contained in the sheets 2 stacked on the lift plate 507; and a control unit (CPU 301) for turning off the air heater 613 when water content calculated by the moisture amount calculation unit (CPU 301) is less than a first water content and for turning on the air heater 613 when the water content calculated by the moisture amount calculation unit (CPU 301) exceeds a second water content.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
