Abstract:
To prevent the setting error of the variable part and reduce the labor required for managing a seal for the seal whose part of the seal face can be changed by the setting of the variable part.SOLUTION: The item management device reads an ID card by the card reader to identify the user, and images the seal surface of the seal by the camera to specify the seal. The item management device cuts out the fixed area and the variable area from the seal, and performs fixed area determination and variable area determination. In the fixed area determination, the fixed area of the seal is compared with the seal registered in advance to identify the seal. In the variable area determination, the date indicated by the variable area is identified, it is determined whether the date is set properly, and if it is determined that the date is not valid, the user is notified.
