Abstract:
To attain improvement of cooling efficiency or heat damage prevention of an electric motor in a radiator for vehicle.SOLUTION: A radiator 5 comprises a core consisting of a group of cooling water tubes 12 and a group of heat dissipation fins 13. A fan 8 which is driven by an electric motor 9 is disposed behind the core. The fan 8 is fitted to an outer periphery of a boss part 10. Regarding a flexure density of the heat dissipation fins 13, in a doughnut-like area 15 which is sucked strong by the fan 8, a high-density region 17 of a small pitch is formed and in a location which is overlapped with the boss part 10 in a front view, a low density region 18 of a large pitch is formed. Since the density of the heat dissipation fins 13 is high in a region where a suction wind is strong, cooling efficiency is improved. Since the low density region 18 is formed in a central part which is overlapped with the boss part 10, the electric motor 9 is prevented from being damaged by heat of the heat dissipation fins 13. In the case of a vehicle collision accident, since the low density region 18 is abutted to the boss part 10 and easily deformed, the radiator is also improved in a shock absorption effect in the case of accident.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
