Abstract:
To provide a display device with touch detection function which can detect a force properly.SOLUTION: A display device with touch detection function 1 includes: a touch detection electrode arranged on a first substrate and facing an input screen; a first electrode arranged on a second substrate and facing the touch detection electrode; a second electrode facing the first electrode across a dielectric layer; a touch detection control unit 40 which detects whether an object to be detected is in contact with or close to the input screen, on the basis of a capacitance between the first electrode and the touch detection electrode; and a force detection control unit 50 which calculates a force detection value representing a pressing force applied to the input screen, on the basis of a capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode. The force detection control unit 50 corrects the force detection value, on the basis of a first capacitance value between the first electrode and the touch detection electrode when the object to be detected is not in contact with the input screen, and a second capacitance value between the first electrode and the touch detection electrode in a position where the object to be detected is not in contact with the input screen when the pressing force is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
